Doing the Unexpectedly Wonderful for Your Community
@UberDC (one of my favorite case studies for Fierce Loyalty) delivered “OnDemand Romance” this week. In case you don’t know, Uber is an on-demand car service that delivers upscale vehicles and dressed up drivers with a touch of your smartphone. On Feb. 14, however, they transformed themselves into an On Demand Florist, with Town Cars and Limos delivering roses all over town. Roses could be ordered with, you guessed it, a touch of your smart phone. A great example of how to surprise and delight your community.
Building Community is THE 2013 Focus for Businesses
Of course, I’m not surprised by this, but new data released by the Internet Data Corporation shows that businesses know this must be their focus this year. The Reading List
If you are building a Fiercely Loyal Community of any kind, the most critical thing you can do is READ. There is amazing wisdom, strategy, and knowledge out there that can help you create, sustain, and even troubleshoot the community you are putting together.
The Community Manager is putting together an ever-evolving reading list of the best of the best books out there. The list is long, so don’t get overwhelmed. Pick one or two, get them from the library or Amazon and dig in.
